Classic cars anyone?

Monday, November 5th, 2007

So I’m not sure who out there is into classics or rods and whatnot, but in the past couple of months, my love for them has come to surface…  I was never really exposed to this culture and its history growing up, but I have always been curious about the cars and trucks.  I grew up mostly  around BMW’s, MBenz’s, integra’s, VW’s, civic’s, etc….  Don’t get me wrong, I love my M3 and BMW’s, but these classics/rods are something else.  Funny enough, growing up in San Jose where there is a pretty big community of enthusiasts, I never met or knew anyone that was into them.  It was always Japanese and European cars… It was a different day today: (thanks Brandon aka Cuddles for the heads up)

In other news….. Sas and I tried out Grimaldi’s coal oven baked pizza 5 minutes away from the HOUSE OF COMMONS.  It was the first local pizza we’ve tried out here in Las Vegas and it’s goooood.

Hope everyone had a fun Hallow’s eve. There was some decent footage for the next COMMEourWAY* episode for sure…stay tuned!

As for the progress with our store, it’s really been frustrating. We finally signed with a contractor and now we’re waiting on building permits from the county. Apparently, the experience is different EVERY single time you walk in there with a set of plans. Even though our plans are very minimal and simple in relation to construction, it could take anywhere from 1 to 45 days to get that permit to start building. We submit tomorrow - keep your fingers crossed. But once we get it, off we go! I’ll be sure to post more pics and updates of the space as it becomes available.
